Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement

Stone & Sky Retreats

I hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in travel activities organized by Stone & Sky Retreats (“the Company”).

In consideration of being permitted to participate in this retreat, I agree to the following terms:

1. Responsibilities of Participant

  • I am responsible for ensuring I possess all required travel documents (e.g., passport, visa, health certificates).

  • I will comply with all rules, regulations, schedules, and instructions provided by the Company during the retreat.

  • I acknowledge that I am responsible for my own health and safety during travel, including any vaccinations, medications, or precautions recommended by healthcare providers or government authorities.

2. Assumption of Risks

I understand and accept that travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Transportation Risks: accidents, delays, cancellations, or mechanical failures by air, land, or sea carriers.

  • Health and Safety Risks: illness, injury, medical emergencies, or exposure to environmental hazards.

  • Political and Social Risks: instability, civil unrest, terrorism, strikes, or similar events.

  • Natural and Environmental Risks: weather events, natural disasters, wildlife, or environmental conditions.

  • Cultural and Social Risks: language barriers, cultural differences, and interactions with local communities.

I voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, foreseeable and unforeseeable, arising from or related to my participation in this retreat.

3. Limitation of Liability

  • I release and discharge Stone & Sky Retreats, its officers, employees, agents, and representatives from liability for any loss, damage, injury, or death arising out of my participation, except to the extent caused by their gross negligence or willful misconduct.

  • The Company is not responsible for disruptions beyond its control, including natural events, travel delays, cancellations, or strikes.

  • Any expenses resulting from such disruptions (e.g., alternative accommodations, meals, or transportation) are my responsibility.

4. Insurance

I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to obtain travel insurance covering trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, and baggage loss/delay.

5. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its representatives from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising out of my actions or participation in the retreat.

6. Acknowledgment

I certify that I am physically fit to participate in this retreat, that I have read and fully understand this Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement, and that I voluntarily accept its terms. I understand that this document is legally binding and that by signing it, I waive certain legal rights.
